CapLens Inventory is a mobile application for creating, managing and generating property inventory reports compliant with French legal requirements. This privacy policy informs you about how we handle your personal data.

Data Collection

Our application does not collect any personal data outside of your device.

The information you enter in the application includes:

  • Property information (address, type, surface area)
  • Signatory details (landlord and tenant)
  • Detailed inventory of rooms and elements
  • Photos captured or selected from your gallery
  • Meter readings and key handover information

All this data is stored exclusively on your mobile device in a local SQLite database and in the application's file system.

Data Usage

The data you enter is used only to:

  • Create and manage your inventory reports
  • Generate PDF and Word documents
  • Display the history of your inventory reports on your device

No data is transmitted to external servers or third parties.

Data Storage

100% local storage:

  • Entered data is stored in a local SQLite database on your device
  • Photos are saved in the application's private file system
  • No cloud synchronization is performed
  • Data is accessible only to you on your device

Captured or imported photos are automatically compressed to JPEG format (maximum resolution 1920x1080) to optimize storage space.

Data Sharing

We do not share any of your data with third parties.

When you use the application's sharing features:

  • You have complete control over the recipients of your documents
  • Sharing is done via your device's native system (iOS Share Sheet / Android Share)
  • We do not have access to shared documents or recipients

Application Permissions

The application requests the following permissions:

  • Camera: To capture photos of property elements
  • Photo gallery: To select existing photos
  • Storage: To save generated PDFs on your device

These permissions are requested only upon first use and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.

Security

Your data benefits from the following protection:

  • Storage in the application's private space, inaccessible to other applications
  • Automatic encryption if your device is protected by passcode/fingerprint
  • No network transmission of your data
  • Complete deletion upon application uninstallation

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

  • Access: All your data is accessible within the application
  • Modification: You can modify your inventory reports at any time
  • Deletion: You can delete your inventory reports individually or uninstall the application to erase all data
  • Portability: You can export your inventory reports in PDF or Word format

Changes to this Policy

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy. In case of significant changes, you will be notified via an in-app notification.
