1. Introduction

CapLens Inventory is a mobile application (iOS and Android) dedicated to creating and managing property inspections. This privacy policy explains how the application handles your data.

2. Data Collection

CapLens Inventory does not collect any personal data. The application works entirely locally on your device. There is no account creation, no authentication, no cloud synchronisation and no connection to Firebase or any other remote service.

3. Use of Data

The data you enter in the application is used exclusively to:

• Create move-in and move-out property inspections
• Document the condition of rooms and equipment with photos
• Generate reports in PDF and Word format
• Display the history of your inspections

4. Data Storage

100% of data is stored locally on your device:

• Inspections and their metadata are saved in a local SQLite database
• Photos are compressed to JPEG (maximum resolution 1920 x 1080) and kept in the application file system
• No data is sent to a remote server

5. Data Sharing

The application does not share any data on its own. You may choose to share a report (PDF or Word) via the native share sheet of your operating system (email, messaging, AirDrop, etc.). This sharing is entirely under your control.

6. Permissions

The application may request the following permissions:

• Camera: to take photos during the property inspection
• Photo library: to select existing photos
• Storage: to save generated reports

These permissions are used only within the application and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.

7. Security

Since data is stored exclusively on your device, its security depends on your smartphone's protection mechanisms (PIN code, fingerprint, Face ID, storage encryption). We recommend enabling these protections.

8. Your Rights

Since no personal data is collected or transmitted, you retain full control over your data. You can delete an inspection at any time within the application, or uninstall the application to delete all data.

9. Changes to this Policy

This privacy policy may be updated. The date at the top of this page indicates the last modification. We encourage you to check this page regularly.

11. Legal Compliance

This policy complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). As the application does not collect or transmit any personal data, no data processing within the meaning of the GDPR is performed.
