CapLens is a real estate investment analysis and simulation application developed to help you model complex investment scenarios and optimize your financial strategies. This privacy policy informs you about how we collect, use and protect your personal data.
Data Collection
Our application does not collect any personal information about you.
The only information stored is what you voluntarily enter into the application to perform your rental profitability simulations:
- Real estate purchase price
- Estimated rents
- Associated charges and fees
- Financing parameters
- Financial data for calculations
This data is stored primarily on your device. For logged-in users, your simulations may also be securely saved on Firebase Firestore (Google's cloud service) solely to allow you to retrieve your data on another device or in case of local data deletion.
Data Usage
The data you enter is used exclusively to:
- Perform rental profitability calculations
- Generate your analysis reports
- Save your simulations locally on your device
- Synchronize your simulations on Firebase Firestore for multi-device retrieval
- Allow you to export your analyses to PDF or Word
Data Sharing
We do not share any information we collect from you with third parties, except with our cloud service provider Firebase (Google) for secure storage of your simulations.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with companies, organizations or third party individuals, except in the following cases:
- Firebase Firestore (Google): For secure cloud storage of your simulations only
- With your explicit consent
- For legal or regulatory reasons
- To protect our rights, your safety or that of others
Google acts as a data processor in accordance with GDPR and Standard Contractual Clauses for data transfers outside the EU.
Storage and Security
Your data is stored in two ways depending on your usage:
- Local storage: All your simulations are first stored locally on your device
- Cloud storage: If you create an account, your simulations are also saved on Firebase Firestore (Google Cloud) with encryption
- User control: You can delete your cloud data from the application at any time
- Security: All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- Location: Firebase servers comply with European data protection regulations
You maintain complete control over your information and can request complete deletion at any time.
Data Export
When you export your analyses to PDF or Word:
- Files are generated locally on your device
- You choose where to save them
- We do not have access to exported data
- The confidentiality of your reports is entirely under your control
